Time for some comedy.
Jan Böhmermann is a German comedian and TV presenter. He was born and will almost certainly die at sometime. He currently best known for his shows Neo Magazin Royale and Schulz & Böhmermann.
Licht An! Licht An! [Light On! Light On!] is the latest single from Jan. It is a biting satire on the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), a prominent German newspaper, having Alexander Gauland, co-founder of the far-right Alternative für Deutschland [Alternative for Germany] (AfD) political that has been linked with neo-nazis, to their 70th birthday party. The song starts stating that the party is apolitical, then asks what to do when a Nazi want to attend, then welcomes the Nazi in and says all is normal, then more Nazis want to join the party, then he throws the Nazi out from the party in the end. The video is taken from Jan’s TV show Neo Magazin Royale and is presented as a live performance, with Kazoo, and has the sound of a traditional German Beer Hall.
