Time for some humour.
Masha i Medved' (Masha and the Bear) is the most popular children's animated TV series. It tells the story of Masha, a young girl with boundless energy who has to try everything with the greatest gusto, and the Bear, a retired circus performer. Each episode is centered around Masha exploring her world in her full-on reckless manner and Bear doing his best to protect her from disaster but usually ending up as the unintended victim of Masha's activities.
Vot Takoy Khokkey! [That’s Such A Hockey!] is Episode 71, from the 3rd series, of the TV show. At the start of the episode, Masha is playing a table-top game of Ice Hockey against some of her stuffed toys, but she gets bored with the game because she wins too easily, so she decides to play a real game but all of her friends are too busy to play with her, and even the Bear is prefers to sleep. Masha then decides to use one of the Bear‘s machines to make her own Ice Hockey teams, but instead creates 2 warring armies of Knights, which Masha manages to upset and both armies join forces to attack her, though we find out that not even 2 full armies are a match for Masha, she defeats them, has them clear snow and make an Ice Hockey rink, she teaches them to skate and play Ice Hockey and ends with them playing a game as the Bear wakes up and watches the game. In addition to the usual continuous incidental music written specially for the show, this episode makes use of a couple well known tunes: I Dovregubbens Hall [In The Hall Of The Mountain King] was originally written by Edvard Grieg in 1875 as incidental music for the Henrik Ibsen‘s 1867 play Peer Gynt and has been recoded in many different arrangements by many different artists; and We Are The Champions was originally released by Queen on their 1977 album News Of The World and as a single, and it has become a standard anthem at sporting events.
