Time for some comedy.
Red Dwarf is a comedy TV series from the UK. It started in 1988 on the BBC until 1999 and moved to the digital station Dave in 2009. It tells the story of Dave Lister (played by Craig Charles), the last human left alive, The Cat (played by Danny John-Jules), a life-form evolved from his pet cat, Arnold Rimmer (played by Chris Barrie) a hologram of Lister's former supervisor, Kryton (played by Robert Llewellyn), a robot that they rescued in the second series, and Holly (played by Norman Lovett and Hattie Hayridge), the ship's computer.
Tongue Tied originally appeared on the 1988 episode Parallel Universe and was released as a single by Danny John-Jules, credited as The Cat, in 1993. It is a love song where the singer is unable to talk to his beloved because every time he sees her he gets tongue tied and the words come out wrong. The inability to pronounce words correctly is used to great comic effect during the song, with some of the lyrics consisting of gibberish. The song appears during a dream sequence in the TV show with The Cat unsuccessfully searching for a specific dream in the dream recorder. The video is a clip from the Parallel Universe episode where The Cat sings the song with backing vocals and dancing from Rimmer and Lister.
