Mission Impossible is the latest video from The Indian Jam Project. It is an arrangement of the main theme music from the 1966 to 1973 TV series Mission Impossible and the series of movies made from 1996 to the present on traditional Indian instruments. It starts off sounding like the band tuning up and then jumps to the most recognisable part of the theme played on keyboard, then the other instruments join in giving it a distinctly Indian feel. It is an incredible rendition of a well known tune that could only be performed by this supremely talented collective with some very interesting sounds from the sitar and tabla, and I’ve never seen a tuning hammer used in such an amazing way. The musicians on this track are: Tushar Lall on keyboards; Sri Sandeep Mishra on Sarangi; Sri Prasad Rahane on sitar; Sri Avadhoot Phadke on flute; and Sri Rupak Dhamankar on tabla.
