Zakaty Alyje [Scarlet Sunset] was originally released by Geroi [Heroes] as a single in 2014. It tells the story of young soldiers on the eve of war. The 1st verse describes the scene on the night before the battle: the quiet evenings; the disturbed sleep; the letter from mother. The 2nd verse tells of explosions in the sky, the sun hiding behind a wall of smoke and then urges you to remember the names of the heroes who defended their homeland. This excellent version was recorded for Victory Day on 9 May this year and is particularly poignant being sung by children dressed as soldiers. They dedicate this production to all those, still alive, who survived World War II and hope that nothing like that war will ever happen again.
