Today’s selection is a 2nd video from UNICEF for the #ENDviolence against children campaign. This clip is from Liberia and deals with sexual violence.
UNICEF is the United Nations Children's Fund. UNICEF works in 190 countries to promote and protect the rights of children. Their work is funded by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments and not by the United Nations. Through contact with UNICEF, the lives of millions of children have been changed for the better.
From the YouTube page for this video:
Pianist and composer Volker Bertelmann, commonly known as Hauschka, lends his evocative single “Who Lived Here?” from the album Abandoned City to this music video, shot in Liberia to promote UNICEF’s #ENDviolence against children initiative. Violence against children is everywhere, but it’s often hidden or occurs behind closed doors. #ENDviolence against children is a global movement to spark local action that “makes the invisible visible” and ensures every child can grow up in a safe environment.
WARNING: While there is no actual violence against children shown in the video, the subject matter is such that some scenes are disturbing
