Beasley Street is about the “permanent Monday mornings” of life on the eponymous street where poverty is endemic and there is nothing to do. It paints a very bleak picture of inner-city living in Britain in the late ’70s. This video is of a performance that JCC did on the BBC TV show, The Old Grey Whistle Test in the early ’80s.
