For What It’s Worth was originally released on Rose‘s 2010 solo album Off Of the Pages. It is about loving someone, realising that you are perfect for them but they don’t see it and are now at the point of either progressing with love or giving up. In resurrecting this song with her new band Rose has given it a makeover, giving it a more gutsy, rocky treatment. This version starts off relatively mildly but soon grabs you and takes you along with driving beat and raw guitar sound behind Rose‘s gritty rock vocals. The video tells a similar story of a couple that appear to live in the same apartment, though never at the same time, and, despite Rose trying to get her message through using many different modern communication devices, the message never gets through, showing the alienation of maintaining social interaction primarily through devices rather than actually being together.
