Carol of the Bells was originally a Ukrainian song, Shchedryk (The Generous One), based on a traditional chant, English lyrics were published in 1936 and was first recorded by the Robert Shaw Chorale in 1946. It tells how bells ring out bringing cheer to those who hear them at Christmas, with a tune that is reminiscent of a peel of bells. This is a beautiful instrumental version with Karolina playing the lead vocal line on violin. In this clip, not only does Karolina give us a beautiful tune expertly played but also dances at the same time and she is joined by a group of her dancer friends. The dance routine was choreographed by Karolina‘s dance instructor, Alessa Lohoff-Chapman, and the video was recorded in the Christmas Decor Shop in Simi Town Centre, in Simi Valley, California, USA with the kind permission of the owner.
