Manoir de Mes Rêves [Manor Of My Dreams] (sometimes called Django’s Castle) was originally released by Django Reinhardt Et Le Quintette Du Hot Club De France [Django Reinhardt and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France] in 1943 as the B-side of the single Oui. This is a beautiful live version that is true to the original but with a slight taste of India added, an updated sound to the instruments, and a slightly harder edge to it. The video was recorded during a live show at St. Philip’s Church in London, UK and features: Filippo and Tim Ellis on guitars; Umberto Calentini on double bass; and Keval Joshi on tabla. While the quartet are performing the number they are also being painted.
