You’ve Got A Friend recorded by Carol King on her 1971 album Tapestry and the equally well known version by James Taylor was recorded during the same recording session, and was released as on his album Mud Slide Slim And The Blue Horizon and as a single in the same year. It is a song about friendship, and that whenever things are going bad all you have to do is call and your friend will be there to help out. This great version was recorded by Aviv for Mother’s day and is dedicated to all mothers, especially her own who is also her best friend. Aviv gives this version a more modern feel than the original and still conveys the feeling of great friendship, making you think that if ever you need someone you will give her a call.
