Harem was originally released, with unrelated lyrics in Portugese, as Canção Do Mar [Song of the Sea] by Amália Rodrigues on her 1955 album Amália Rodrigues, and, with English lyrics, by Sarah Brightman on her 2003 album Harem and as a single. It paints a lyrical picture of Arabian deserts, welcoming the listener to the singer’s harem, conveying messages of changes, of desires, of times with little, and or times with plenty. Kelsey gives us a beautiful rendition of the song conjuring images of exotic climes of oases and deserts, and her upper register has an ethereal quality that evokes romantic impressions of desert spirits. This is the performance that Kelsey gave for the 2018 Sanremo Malta Junior competition.
