Sophia Patsalides – Here for Christmas

Sophia Patsalides is a young singer from Cyprus. She has been studying piano and singing since she was 5 years old and has had a lot of experience performing in public. She represented Cyprus in the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) with her song I Pio Omorfi Mera (The Most Beautiful Day).

 

Here for Christmas is the new single from Sophia. It is sung to an absent lover, asking if they will be here on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with a fine painting of Christmas celebrations added in. It is sung in the laid-back casual style of 1950s crooners but is decidedly a slow modern pop song with distinct jazz flavours added to Sophia‘s superb singing to give us a song that deserves to be a new addition to the collection of classic Christmas songs.
