Titanic Music Tribute is the new video from The Indian Jam Project. It is an arrangement, in Indian classical style, using traditional Indian instruments of the music from the 1997 movie Titanic and is dedicated to the brave musicians who chose to continue to play music, to calm the other passengers, while the real ship went down with no thought for their own safety, and they all died in the tragedy. The track starts with an almost standard version of the theme and then becomes distinctly Indian, then it morphs into an unusual, and extremely interesting, mix of traditional Irish folk with classical Indian music before returning to the more usual fare for this unique project. It is a truly beautiful and interesting mix of styles that you are never likely to hear anything similar from anyone other than The Indian Jam Project. The musicians on this track are: Tushar Lall on keyboards; Sri Manas Kumar on violin; Sri Prasad Rahane on sitar; Sri Tejas Vinchurkar on flute; Sri Rupak Dhamankar on tabla; and Sri Shrinath Somayaji on Mridangam.
