Diamonds was originally released by Paul Simon, as Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes, on his 1986 album Graceland and as a single. It is about a rich woman and several of her lovers. Magma performs this song in the Nyahbynghi Reggae style, starting with an a cappella chant about the rich girl going to Jamaica to find a Rasta man and the first verse and chorus before the drums start up and the music begins. The song makes the transition from South African rhythms to Nyahbynghi rhythms well that it sounds like it could be a traditional chant.
