Time for some comedy.
A Capella Science is an online video project by Tim Blais, a Canadian physics student and singer. In 2012 Tim realised that he could combine his love of physics and singing in, what he has described as the single most comprehensively nerdy endeavour ever conceived, where he performs parodies of popular songs with a scientific theme made only from unaltered sounds produced by his mouth or vocal chords.
The Molecular Shape of You is the latest video from A Capella Science. It is a parody of Ed Sheeran‘s 2017 song Shape of You, from his album ÷, that explains the structure of molecules, from the sub-atomic, including some quantum mechanics, mainly focusing on organic molecules, the building blocks of living things. It is a great pop song with a full sound and the only sounds not produced by Tim‘s vocal organs are clapping and I think that we can allow him that one little cheat for such a great parody of one of the most popular songs on YouTube at the moment.
