When We Were Young was originally released by Adele on her 2016 album 25 and as a single. It is about growing old, being at the point of losing your youth and wanting to hold on to it, even if only in a photograph, and about reuniting with people from the past and remembering when you were young. This is an excellent version and the reggae beat makes the song danceable, adds an emphasis on the joyous aspects of remembering the good times, and adds a note of hope for the future. It might seem ironic that a singer as young as Rosie is singing about getting old, but she does such an excellent job of singing that there isn’t even a hint of irony in her voice, making it a perfectly believable performance. And, again, there is some incredible scenery from the Solomon Islands in the background of this wonderful video.
