Time for some satire.
Janis Ian is an American singer, songwriter, musician, author, and activist. She started her music career at the age of 12 when her first song was published in the periodical Broadside. She recorded her first record, Society's Child, at the age of 14 which became a controversial hit in the USA. She then had to wait 10 years for her next hit but has continued to write and record songs for over 50 years and has had many hit records. She also writes Science Fiction stories and is an activist for LGBT and musicians rights.
1776 is the new single from Janis. It is a very clever, witty piece of political satire about the conditions that preceded the United States revolution in 1776, begging comparisons to the current political situation in the U.S.A.
