Tali Kuper is a young Israeli singer. She started singing in festivals and competitions at a very young age, sometimes singing solo and occasionally singing duets with her older sister Emily. She has had much success in her native Israel and all across Europe, from Barcelona to Moscow. She also participated in the 3rd season of The Voice Kids in Ukraine where she performed in the last group of blind auditions and both remaining judges (Tina Karol's team was full) hit the button at the same time, and Tina was also clearly impressed with Tali's singing.
Il Tempo Se Ne Va [The Time Goes] was originally released by Adriano Celentano on his 1980 album Un Po’ Artista Un Po’ No [A Little Artist, A Little Not] and as a single. It is about a father singing to his daughter and chronicling her growing from a young girl to a frown woman. In this version Toto sings the verses well, but then young Tali sings the chorus and kicks the performance up a notch, matching the more experienced singer, who was performing for 30 years before she was born, and surpassing him in some aspects. This is a video of the performance that they gave on 16 November, 2013 at the Tel Aviv Cultural Hall in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The video that was originally included in this post has been made Private and contained a video of a performance was from a live concert in the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv, Israel on 27 January, 2017. If that magnificent performance isn’t enough for you we are also treated to a solo performance by Tali of the song History Repeating that was originally released by the Propellerheads featuring Shirley Bassey on their 1997 album Decksandrumsandrockandroll and as a single. Tali gives an amazing performance in her heavily accented English, but don’t let it put you off if you can’t understand the words, just treat it like a piece of Jazz scat singing, get lost in the music, and get blown away by the incredible talent of this young girl giving a rendition that is very different from, but just as good as, the original.
