Time for some comedy.
Aunty Jack was a cult Australian TV series that originally aired in the early 1970s. The series was created by Grahame Bond and Rory O'Donoghue, it featured Sandra McGregor and John Derum, in the first series, and introduced Gary McDonald in the Second series. The show was set in Bond's hometown of Wollongong and is still holds cult status amongst fans.
Herman The Brave (A Beach Opera) originally appeared in the Aunty Jack Show episode Anonymous in 1972, it also appeared on the CD The Auntyology. It tells the story of Shirl, a typist, who is in love with Herman T. Worthington-Grubb, a high society member of a Surf Lifesaving Club where none of the members can swim, Shirl gets into trouble in the surf and Herman attempts to save her but things go wrong and Shirl ends up saving Herman.
