Mirek Coutigny is a Belgian pianist and composer. He studies at the Conseravtorium Gent and studied composition with Frank Nuyts. He is a member of the duo We Ate Our Cables, the trio Lysesco, and the trio Headliner. He represented Belgium at the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) as part of the band Trust with the song Anders. He was also one of the performers that the documentary Sounds Like Teen Spirit focussed on.
Station Elevenis a new piece for a small ensemble written by Mirek. This is a live performance by G.A.M.E., the Ghent Advanced Master Ensemble, in Het Kraakhuis theatre, in De Bijloke in Ghent, Belgium. G.A.M.E. is an ensemble composed of students in the Advanced Master in Contemporary Music programme at the Royal Conservatory / School of Arts Ghent, who perform as a part of their studies. For this performance the musicians are: Sara Baldini on flute; Hanna Kölbel on cello; Carlo Prampolini on piano; and Ruben Martinez Orio on percussion.
