Thomas Zwijsen & Band – Fireflies

Thomas Zwijsen is a Dutch classical guitarist who has made his name for his unusual repertoire. His first album, Nylon Maiden, consisted of 11 arrangements of Iron Maiden songs for classical guitar. His second album, Nylonized, contained a collection of songs from different artists (such as The Who, Deep Purple, Adele and several others) and a few original works. Since then he has released several albums of similar cover versions and original pieces.

 

Fireflies is the new video from Thomas and is the 2nd track on his upcoming album Divide & Unite. This track, like the rest of the album, has Thomas performing with his new band, which consists of: Anne Bakker on violin; Rosie Taekema on cello; Nathanael Taekema on drums; and Anton Zwijsen on bass. It is a little different from his previous work, being an original work and having stronger influences from flamenco but his classical and rock roots are still evident.
