Time for some comedy.
Billy Connolly is a Scottish comedian, actor, singer and musician. He started his career in the late 1960s in the folk group, The Humblebums, with singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty, recording 3 albums together. After The Humblebums broke up in 1971, Billy returned to the folk scene where his humorous introductions to the songs got longer and longer until there was no room in his shows for the music. He achieved success with comedy records that were recorded live and a few parody singles. He has also appeared in several movies and TV shows.
The Country & Western Super Song is a parody of Country and Western music. It is based on the premise that all Country & Western songs are about death (and preferably lots of it), a close relative, the disabled, and religion, so all of these issues are brought together in a humourous way. Billy is performing the song at a live concert.
You can follow Billy on his Official Website, on Facebook, and on Twitter. You can buy his recordings on iTunes as The Humblebums, The New Humblebums, and as Billy Connolly.
